BECOME A CIVIL ASSISTANCE VOLUNTEER

The work done by the “Civic Assistance” wouldn’t be possible without its volunteers. They are the ones who work closely with people who seek help from the Committee — volunteers accompany refugees in various state institutions, assist people with translation, teach integration classes and help kids adapt to the Russian educational process.

If you want to become a part of our team, choose one of the fields you’re interested in (or have an experience in), fill out the form below and send it to us.

Currently we’re receiving a lot of applications, so the response time may be increased.

Right now we are in great need of volunteers who can speak French, Spanish, Uzbek, Arabic and Farsi, graphic designers and teachers of RFL — Russian as Foreign Language. Please, beware that a lot of tasks for volunteers usually include working on weekdays during working hours.

If you don’t receive a response from us within two weeks, this means that we haven’t been able to find a volunteer option for you at the moment. If your skills can be useful, we will contact you as soon as possible.

In 2021 Committee volunteers accompanied refugees to state institutions 125 times, translated 60 documents of various sizes and content, helped refugees find housing in Russia, created instructions for accompaniments, helped with translation in courts, organized events for refugees and their children, took photos and videos about the life of the Committee. Last year 82 adults learned Russian, 22 children improved their knowledge of the school curriculum thanks to the hard work of Committee volunteers.

We’re incredibly grateful to our volunteers for teaching Russian language, playing with kids and solving everyday issues of adults who seek help from the Committee. Besides that, we’re grateful that our volunteers communicate with refugees, provide moral and psychological support. By doing so, they debunk the idea that the world around people in trouble is hostile. The most important thing — is having an understanding person beside you.

Регулярная поддержка позволяет нам уверенно планировать работу и помогать людям в трудной жизненной ситуации.
