Civic Assistance Committee
is a charitable non-governmental organisation.
Our mission is to change the attitude that the government and society have towards migrants
and refugees. Each and every one of us can lose
our home and find ourselves in another country:
Albert Einstein, Marlene Dietrich, Joseph Brodsky, Ludmila Alekseeva were refugees. We are all united by the need of protection and understanding, regardless of the difference in our skin colour, language, traditions. Everyone deserves help.

Annual report 2022
2022 was rough for the whole world. It was marked by the massive arrival of refugees in Russia as a result of hostilities in Ukraine. In order to help the maximum number of applicants, we had longer opening hours and started accepting several times more people per day as compared to the past. During the most difficult period, there were over 300 calls a day on our hotline, and 100 families a day personally applied for help on each of our working days. We continued helping the refugees from Afghanistan, Syria, Yemen, the Democratic Republic of Congo, Ethiopia, and other countries, — owing to our work, 206 people got temporary asylum status, and one got refugee status. Also, with our help, 54 stateless people got legal status in Russia.
